Piano Performer/Singer With a background in American Theatre, as an actor-director, Vic Janusz was offered a nightly, 6-month contract as a piano soloist in 1998 by the Seattle Sheraton Towers; NORDSTROM offered a full-time day position as a pianist shortly thereafter, and Janusz was in music full-time. His numerous cabaret hits as a singer-pianist include the popular "Phoenicia and Vic Shows" with Wade Madsen and "The Night Is Bettah." He has accompanied singers as diverse as Greta Matassa, rock/roots singer Elizabeth Carpenter and El Vez. One of Seattle's most in demand pianomen, either as soloist or frontman, Janusz has been represented at CANLIS (VJ Trio has headlined at 4 New Year's Eve parties), the Fairmont, and numerous country clubs. His debut CD "Hands Solo" (VIM 5338)--an instrumental -- released in 2002, features piano solos, piano & bass duets, and three original tunes. Reissue: February 2005. "COSMO STREET" his first CD as Singer/Pianist, spotlights
Vic as songwriter on half the album's twelve tracks, and features a
line-up of Northwest All-Stars: Saxaphonist MARK TAYLOR, Electric &
Upright Bassist SPENCER HOVESKELAND (one-half of the "Bottom Line
Duo"), and drummer JEREMY JONES.
